On Saturday David and I spent the evening in Grand Rapids. First we headed to Easttown to try a restaurant we have not yet been to. Generally we find ourselves eating at the same couple restaurants (Electric Cheetah is our fave) but I wanted to try something new. We decided on Chez Olga mainly because of what it looked like on the outside!

Chez Olga: the coolest looking restaurant I've ever seen! |
The tagline for the restaurant is "Taste the Caribbean Heat." I've never tried Caribbean food so I was excited that this would be an evening of new things! We both ordered a Papaya and Mango drink to start. It was absolutely delicious. It was like a thick juice, but not quite a smoothie.

For dinner I ordered the chicken and broccoli. It was served with a bed of rice and a very yummy sauce. I loved it! I'm so glad we decided to go try a new place. I definitely recommend it to anyone in the Grand Rapids area.

Chicken and broccoli. Delicious! |
After dinner we headed to the Devos Performance Hall. We saw Annie, which was my favorite movie/musical as a child. I watched it so many times! Tickets to the show were a Christmas gift from David. It was a very sweet idea. David had actually never seen the movie so he did not know the plot. We both really enjoyed the performance. The actor who played Ms. Hanagan did a great job, she was hilarious. It was a very fun night!
