Easy DIY Valentine's Day Cards!

Hey guys! Today I am doing an easy DIY just in time for Valentine's day! This is a super easy and quick project that looks adorable.

For this project you will need:
Cardstock paper
string/yarn/thread
needle
pencil and eraser
That's it!

First, draw the outline of the heart.

Next, poke holes on the outline with the needle and one in the center. Erase outline.

Bring the thread up through the bottom of the paper.

Bring the needle down through the center and back up through the next hole.

Repeat until finished!

Enjoy this tutorial! Happy Valentine's Day! :)

Winter Adventures in Grand Haven

Grand Haven has it all. In the summer the beach is packed and it's relaxing to lay out in the sun listening to the waves. In the winter though, Lake Michigan looks like this. It is absolutely stunning.

Date night in Grand Rapids

On Saturday David and I spent the evening in Grand Rapids. First we headed to Easttown to try a restaurant we have not yet been to. Generally we find ourselves eating at the same couple restaurants (Electric Cheetah is our fave) but I wanted to try something new. We decided on Chez Olga mainly because of what it looked like on the outside!
Chez Olga: the coolest looking restaurant I've ever seen!

The Best Adventures of 2014

As we are about a week or so into 2015, I wanted to reflect on some of my favorite memories and adventures of 2014.

Shooting a gun for the first time.

My Grandparents 50th anniversary and renewing their vows.

First Time Gambling!

David and I were bored one night over break and decided to spontaneously make a trip across the border to Canada for the evening. This was my first time at Caesar's casino. We did the penny and nickel slots and I really had no idea what I was doing at first. But eventually I got the hang of it!

Christmas in Chicago!

Christmas 2015 was in Chicago this year! We hadn't traveled to Chicago for Christmas in a while, and since my Uncle Pat and his family would be there, we decided to go visit too.

Dinner at Portillo's! They have the best Italian beef. So yummy!

Fourth of July Weekend 2014

On Thursday I made the two and a half hour trek to the other side of the state for the holiday weekend. I had never driven that far before by myself but it turned out just fine. There was relatively little traffic and the weather was good. I got there before my friend Ryan was home so I had a couple hours to kill. I just walked around campus and read by the pond. I was in a great mood, excited for the upcoming festivities, until I returned to my car and found a bright orange parking ticket :(
